Nick Parker, PA-C
Nick Parker joined Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology in June of 2024. He graduated from UGA in 2018, and then worked as a medical assistant in dermatology for three years. He then returned to school at South College in Knoxville, TN, and graduated with his MSPAS in 2022.
Nick began his career as a PA-C at Cumberland Dermatology in Crossville, TN, focusing on clinical and surgical Dermatology. He is a born and raised Georgian, and he is excited to be back in his home state practicing at GSC.
He currently resides in Jefferson, GA, with his wife and two kids. In his spare time, he enjoys being on the lake and spending time with his family.
Mallory M. Aycock, DMSc, PA-C
Mallory M. Aycock, DMSc, PA-C is a Board Certified PA by NCCPA. She received her undergraduate education from the University of Georgia, graduate education from the Medical College of Georgia, and doctoral education from the University of Lynchburg. She is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Mercer University, where her research focuses on dermatology education and medical education models. Mallory practiced in general surgery before beginning practice in dermatology over a decade ago; she has training and experience in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology.
Mallory is a member of the Society of Dermatology PAs (SDPA) and Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants (GDPA). She is an inducted member of the Alpha Eta Honor Society and Pi Alpha National Honor Society for PAs. She was previously awarded the Medical College of Georgia Physician Assistant Department Teaching and Service Award, GAPA Faculty Achievement Award, and SDPA Educator of the Year Award.
Outside of work, Mallory enjoys spending time with her children and husband, family, and friends. She is passionate about dermatology and looks forward to caring for you and your family.
Ben Rosen, PA-C
Ben Rosen is an NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant who received his B.A. from the University of Georgia and M.S.P.A.S. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Surgical Physician Assistant program where he graduated summa cum laude. He comes to Athens after practicing both Dermatology and Plastic Surgery in the Greater Atlanta Area since 2014. He has a background of extensive training and experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, including specialized training at UAB University Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He also has comprehensive training in both cosmetic injectables and medical lasers. He is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA,) Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants (GDPA), and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Interestingly, Ben is a certified SCUBA diver and FAA licensed private pilot. He is a native of Marietta, GA. Ben currently lives in the Athens area with his lovely wife Ashley, sons Josh and Ryan, and their English Bulldog, Gus.
Chris Brune, M.M.Sc., PA-C
Chris Brune was born in the little apple (Manhattan, Kansas) and grew up in Virginia. He graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in June 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Mgmt. After working all over the globe in the oil industry and serving as the medical officer aboard deep-sea oil tankers, he moved back to Richmond, VA, and completed a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Med Program where he graduated magna cum laude. In 2015, he graduated with honors from Emory University Physician Assistant Program and earned his master’s degree in Medical Science. Chris has worked in dermatology for nearly 4 years before joining Georgia Skin Cancer and Aesthetic Dermatology. Chris currently lives in Bogart, GA with his wife, Heather, and short-haired pointer dog, Skipper. He enjoys traveling, playing tennis and soccer, and snow skiing. He is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Hope Cook, PA-C
Hope Cook has been a PA since 2002, first in internal medicine, and in dermatology since 2009. She loves recognizing the links between skin diseases and systemic illness. Hope enjoys teaching yoga, podcasting, and studying functional medicine in her free time. She lives in Athens with her husband and two kids.
Jordan Daniell Ashford, PA-C
Jordan Daniell Ashford, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant, specializing in Dermatology. She graduated in 2016 from Mercer University’s Physician Assistant Program with a Master’s degree in Medical Science. Prior to attending PA school, she earned her B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors.
Jordan has practiced Dermatology over the past 7 years in Northeast Georgia and brings experience treating a wide array of dermatology conditions. She is passionate about the prevention and early detection of skin cancer, especially melanoma. In addition to skin cancer prevention and treatment, she loves helping patients achieve their healthiest skin. Whether the concern be acne, eczema, psoriasis, or sun damage and signs of aging, she looks forward to helping design a personalized treatment plan for you.
As lifelong residents of Oconee County, she and her husband, Philip, are happy to raise their three children, Lucy, Phoebe, and John Woodson in their hometown community of family and friends. In her free time, Jordan enjoys sharing a meal with good company, playing tennis, and painting.
Melissa Cannon, PA-C
Melissa Cannon is a NCCPA board certified physician assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University and then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with her MSPAS from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010. Melissa worked in internal medicine for four years before switching to dermatology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants. Melissa offers a variety of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Melissa lives in Watkinsville with her husband, Trey, and their three children, Reid, Levi, and Sydney. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new destinations.

Leah Watts is a NCCPA board certified physician assistant and has been practicing dermatology since 2018. While Leah is a native of Snellville, Georgia, she has also lived in Minnesota and South Carolina. Leah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Clemson University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is an Alabama native and received her Bachelor of Science from Auburn University. Amanda Pisciotta is a NCCPA board certified physician assistant and a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science before moving to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from South College in 2012. Amanda returned to the Athens area and worked in primary care for over two years before joining Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology in 2015. She enjoys caring for general dermatology patients in our Athens area and Lake Oconee offices. Amanda and her husband, Michael, are both natives of South Georgia but fell in love with Athens while attending UGA. They now call Athens their home, and enjoy living in the area with their three children.
Brittany Wheatley, NP-C
Brittany Wheatley joins GSC as a member of Dr. Campbell’s Mohs surgical team. She is a 2017 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Brittany is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, The Dermatology Nurses Association, and an affiliate member of the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants. Brittany brings with her to Georgia Skin Cancer a combined 9 years of experience as a registered nurse, 3 years of dermatology experience, and a passion for quality patient care. Brittany currently lives in Washington, GA, with her husband Brandon and two children, Shep & Sully. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and loves a good DIY project.
Jody Clearman, FNP
Jody Clearman is an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She attended the Pennsylvania State University for her Baccalaureate and Master of Science degrees in Nursing, with an emphasis in dermatology. She has served in the medical field for over a decade, developing a passion for skin health and aesthetic medicine. Jody offers medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services, delivering a customized approach to each individual’s skin and natural features. Outside of the office, Jody and her husband enjoy staying active outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family. She is a strong supporter and advocate for Foundation Outreach International, a non-profit organization devoted to global humanitarian and educational projects.
